20th century large Burmantofts Faience architectural tile plaque, The Maide at The Inn, designed by William Neatby, of rectangular form depicting a female figure holding a tray, with cat seated at her feet, titled lower left corner, within mahogany frame with easel style support verso, plaque 48.5cm x 29cm Born in 1860 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, William James Neatby worked at Burmantofts Pottery designing ceramic tiles for six years.
