An oak and mahogany longcase clock by William Hewson, Lincoln c 1860, with a swans neck pediment, ball and spire finials and brass paterae, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilasters with brass capitals, oak trunk with canted corners and a short oak door with mahogany crossbanding, conforming plinth with applied skirting, fully painted dial with Roman numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds dial, matching brass stamped hands and winding collets, depiction of a sportsman to the break arch and corresponding game birds to the spandrels, dial pinned directly to an eight-day rack striking movement with a recoil anchor escapement, striking the hours on a bell. Original casemakers label pasted to the inside of the case "James Usher, Cabinet and Clock Casemaker, Lincoln, No 1930" With weights and pendulum.
