Large scale model of the motor Tug Turmoil, in OTS colours, on wooden stand, L135cm, W26cm, H66cm. Built 1945 the Turmoil was sent to the rescue of the Flying Enterprise in 1952. The Captain had refused to leave the ship, the vessel eventually sank under tow to Falmouth. Turmoil was scrapped in 1986.

Mid-Victorian naval ship's manuscript log book for HMS Narcissus, flagship of the Flying (Detached) Squadron under the command of Captain William Codrington for the period January 1872 to September 1872, covering two voyages from Cape of Good Hope to Bombay, Mauritius and back, and Cape of Good Hope to Plymouth, both with Track maps, annotated laid-in photograph of The Detached Squadron anchored in Simon's Bay February 1872. Final few pages refer to a voyage of the freight ship Clara from Plymouth to Sydney January 1873 to May 1873 which refers to Admiral Codrington. Half leather binding with marbled boards protected by dustjacket made from fragment of contemporary linen backed chart.
