The Furnishings Sale - Furniture, Interiors & Clocks

09 April 2022 12:30
Venue: Scarborough, YO11 1XN

The Furnishings Sale on Saturday 9th April begins with a great clock category: the wall, longcase and mantle examples include an 18th century oak cased longcase clock by M Thomas & Sons (lot 1012) and a 19th century eight-day mahogany single train fusee wall clock, lot 1000). What follows is a rich line up of rugs and mirrors - and a wide-ranging and unique selection of furniture spanning the 18th century to the present day. Highlights include some charming bureaus, including a George III mahogany bureau (lot 1050) and an early 20th century golden oak bureau (lot 1104), as well as a particularly eye-catching Edwardian inlaid rosewood salon suite, upholstered in statement red and gold fabric (lot 1051).
