Description: Early 20th century French papier-mache barking bulldog automaton, probably by Roullet and Decamps, flock covered in cream and black with well moulded detail to ribs and muscular frame, brown glass eyes and hinged mouth with moulded teeth and tongue, red collar and bristles to neck, with pull chain to operate nodding head and activate mouth with bark, the legs terminating with wooden casters L43cm H35cm
