DOW Eure-et-Loir group of seven Boer War/WW1 medals comprising Queens South Africa Medal with three clasps for Cape Colony, Transvaal and Wittebergen, Kings South Africa Medal with two clasps for South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902, Turkish Liakat Medal, George V Coronation Medal, 1914 Star with 5th Aug.-22nd Nov. 1914 bar, British War Medal and Victory Medal awarded to Captain Douglas Leslie Stephen Grenadier Guards; group of four Boer War and 1911 Coronation miniature medals; all with ribbons and later mounted and framed with his bronze memorial plaque; together with Cecil Cutler (active 1886-1934) heightened watercolour three-quarter length portrait of Douglas in uniform, signed and dated 1915, 52 x 35cm; gilt frame; Auctioneers Note: Douglas was the elder brother of Albert Alexander Leslie Stephen (see previous lot) and died of wounds on 10th September 1914 in France.
