Early 20th century 'Cutty Sark' dinner plate, printed with the house flag and ship's name beneath, within a cobalt blue and gilt border upon a white ground, with printed maker's mark beneath for T. Hayward & Co, D24.5cm Provenance by vendor repute: Vendor's father was a naval cadet in 1940s/50s on board HMS Worcester which was moored alongside the Cutty Sark on the River Thames at Greenhithe. He has had the plate since then.
