Notes: Adderton was a friend of the brothers Harry and Charles Wanless, all of whom studied under Albert Strange at the Scarborough School of Art School. Adderton had a studio at 55 Sandside, Scarborough between 1894 and 1901, he moved to Ockbrook Derby and later to Robin Hoods Bay where he was a member of the Fylingdales Group of Artists
