Description: Early 19th century David Dunderdale & Co Castleford pottery plate, decorated in brown in the Buffalo and Ruins pattern, with indistinct impressed marks beneath, D24cm, together with a late 18th/early 19th century blue and white pearlware sauce boat, decorated in a variant of the Willow pattern, L15cm
Both have general wear commensurate with age including scratches, discolouration and crazing to the glaze. There are production flaws including pitting. The plate has two losses to the centre/lower on the front as per images. There are two losses to the back and a visible crack to the edge on the back. The jug has 3 cracks to the body and small losses especially to the footrim. When inspected under a UV light, the lower inner part of the handle in particular illuminates.
