"Jaeger-Le Coultre & Ce" - Swiss Atmos V clock 526-5 calibre, c1960, lacquered brass framed case from the Marina series, with bevelled edge acrylic panels and deep cut design work in a gold and black Chinoiserie style, white circular dial with Arabic numerals, eight indexes and baton gilt lacquered hands, with original matching wall bracket. The movement possesses a gas filled expansion chamber which expands and contracts between 10 and 27 degrees Celsius and in doing so provides the power to drive the precision movement and heavy circular torsion pendulum. A temperature difference of one degree will drive the movement for 48 hours.
