Wray Son & Perry of Birmingham - Large Victorian 8-day fusee wall clock c1890, with a 22" oak surround and 16" painted dial, with a glazed spun bezel and flat steel dial with bold Roman numerals, minute markers and steel spade hands, four pillar movement with rectangular plates, chain driven fusee and a recoil anchor escapement. With pendulum. William Wray &Son were a firm of Birmingham Jewellers, Clock and Watch makers/retailers during the 19th century. Given the size of this clock it was possibly intended for a business or public institution or perhaps a clock for their own use in their New Street premises in Birmingham.
