Militaria, Medals, Weapons & Sporting Guns

30 January 2025 11:00
Venue: Online & at David Duggleby, Scarborough, YO11 1XN

Join us for our much anticipated Militaria, Medals, Weapons & Sporting Guns sale, featuring an exceptional array of military and historical items, including a selection of historically significant lots.

This sale includes a highly rare WWII Special Allied Airborne Reconnaissance Force (SAARF) Parachute Jump Wing, once belonging to Leslie Scott, accompanied by his WWII medals, Soldier’s Service book, discharge papers, photographs, and other personal ephemera. This significant grouping provides a unique insight into SAARF, a short-lived unit active from February 1945 until its disbandment in July 1945, which comprised personnel from across Allied nations and undertook only one airborne drop.

Additionally, from the family of Colonel S.C.F. Jackson, 1st Battalion Hampshire Regiment, comes a portrait by John Saint-Helier Lander, his British 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword and more, plus a group of eight medals with their miniatures in a display case, offering a remarkable glimpse into his distinguished military service.

There is also a 1940 WWII German board game, Wir Kampfen gegen den Feind, alongside a rare WWII Special Forces collection relating to Sgt. Raymond William Greenley, featuring four medals from the Special Allied Airborne Reconnaissance Force.
