The Country House Sale is a bi-annual event celebrating fine furniture, unique antiques, stunning Yorkshire oak and exquisite decorative objects that embody centuries of style, craftsmanship and heritage.Highlights include an early Charles I oak and elm refectory table, richly adorned 19th-century Empire Revival furnishings from Kinloch Castle, elegant William IV and Georgian library chairs, Gothic revival sideboards, and specimen marble-topped cabinets of outstanding quality.Silver and decorative pieces feature strongly, among them a George II provincial silver coffee pot by John Webber of Plymouth, Exeter 1759, and a rare Dunhill Sporting “Aquarium” table lighter, specially commissioned in 1955 to commemorate Nicholas Nickleby’s Ascot triumph.
