This mid-18th century 30-hour longcase clock by Gilbert Kidd of Malton features an oak case with a caddy top and three gesso finials. The clock boasts a square hood door flanked by turned pilasters adorned with Corinthian capitals. The trunk showcases a long wavy topped door mounted on a square plinth with a shaped skirt.
The clock's brass dial includes an engraved dial center, a date aperture, and steel hands. It also features a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and five-minute Arabics, all pinned to a chain-driven countwheel striking movement.
