Venue: Online & at David Duggleby, Scarborough, YO11 1XN

Our Affordable Art sale features an appealing mix of paintings and works on paper, offering original art at accessible price points. The selection ranges from traditional landscapes and still lifes to bold contemporary pieces.

Highlights include Jack Rigg’s ‘Yorkshire Cobble’ (1984), Marcus Ford’s coastal View towards Southwold, and two serene landscape panels by Sidney Valentine Gardner of the Staithes Group. Historic and decorative interest appears in Alec Sargant’s ‘Trumpeters House – Richmond Green’ (1968), and John Freeman’s lively The Shooting Party (1984).

Further works include Hodgkin Dixon’s Snow Scene, Neil Spilman’s Bluebell Wood (1997), and still lifes by Maria Teresa Hegg and Rachel Phillips, each offering their own charm and character.

Adding a contemporary statement to the sale is Colin S. Frooms’ monumental canvas ‘Firebird’., an impressive large-scale piece.

With variety across theme, style and period, the Affordable Art sale provides an excellent opportunity for collectors old and new to acquire distinctive original works at accessible prices. Browse the catalogue and bid now.
