Dating back to the late 18th century, this collection of French portrait miniature buttons showcases exquisite craftsmanship. Each button features a finely painted likeness of notable figures from the French Royal Court on ivory, set under glazed panels within silver frames adorned with paste stones. The reverse of each button is engraved with the sitter's name and fitted with eyelets.
