Our forthcoming Toys & Models sale offers a varied and engaging selection spanning nostalgic childhood favourites, collectable models and early 20th century toys. The auction is particularly strong in Lego, with an excellent run of boxed and built sets including architectural landmarks, film and television themes and specialist releases. Highlights include the impressive Lego Creator Colosseum no. 10276, alongside further sought-after sets such as the SHIELD Helicarrier, the Imperial Flagship and the Doctor Who TARDIS.
Vintage toys and nostalgic pieces feature prominently throughout the sale. A standout lot is the rare 1930s Saalheimer & Strauss Mickey Mouse ‘Smile Please’ mechanical tinplate money box, a charming and highly collectable example of early Disney merchandising. Other period highlights include a delightful 1940s Tulltoy ‘Real Cricket in Miniature’ set, complete with lead cricketers and original box, together with a small but appealing group of 1940s and 1950s Beano comics, including a scarce 1941 wartime issue.
Collectors of diecast and model vehicles will find plenty to attract attention, with a strong offering from makers including Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox and CMC. Among the highlights is the ever-popular Corgi Batman Gift Set no. 40, complete with its original packaging, alongside a fine selection of highly detailed CMC 1:18 scale models, including the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé. Model kit enthusiasts are equally well catered for, with aircraft, military and vehicle kits from a variety of respected manufacturers, including the Hasegawa Wright Flyer I 1:16 scale museum model.
Elsewhere, the sale includes a pleasing range of traditional toys and collectables, from Subbuteo table games and vintage board games to Barbie collector dolls, teddy bears and puppets. Highlights include the Gold Label Mattel Barbie Fashion Model Collection Silkstone Cocktail Dress doll and an early 20th century teddy bear, probably Steiff.
Overall, the auction presents a lively and diverse catalogue with something to appeal to collectors of vintage toys, model vehicles, games, dolls and modern collectable classics alike. Browse the catalogue and bid now.
