Affordable Art presents an appealing and accessible selection of paintings, prints and works on paper, offering collectors and first-time buyers the opportunity to acquire original artworks across a wide range of styles and periods.

The catalogue includes a variety of landscape, figurative and abstract works. Among the highlights is a finely executed watercolour of a clipper ship by Emily Murray Paterson, alongside an oil on canvas after J.M.W. Turner depicting The Thames near Walton Bridges. Landscapes also feature in Hubert Wellington’s Golden Cap – near Lyme Dorset, a charming view of the Dorset coastline.

Modern British art is represented by Sir Norman Robert Reid, whose oil painting of a cottage and landscape comes from the Estate of the Late Mrs Eugene Rosenberg, and by Robert Medley, with a pair of expressive figural studies in ink and wash dating from 1946. The sale also includes a dynamic abstract drawing by Roy Turner Durrant, demonstrating the artist’s distinctive approach to colour and form.

Print collectors will find much to enjoy, including a set of twelve limited edition lithographs by Edward Harris Wolfe titled Song of Songs, as well as etchings by notable artists such as Edmund Blampied and Frank Weston Benson.

Explore this varied and approachable catalogue, combining traditional landscapes, modern works and collectable prints – the ideal opportunity to begin or expand an art collection.
