Our forthcoming Affordable Antiques sale offers a varied and accessible mix of collectables, curios and decorative pieces, with plenty to appeal to both new buyers and established collectors. Spanning jewellery, watches, silver, ceramics, glass, pictures, coins, toys and small furnishings, the catalogue brings together a wide range of affordable and interesting finds.
Among the highlights is a colourful selection of gemstone jewellery-making beads, including twenty-one strings of green stone beads such as malachite and agate, as well as further mixed polished gemstone beads including chrysocolla, rose quartz, tiger’s eye and net jasper. Watches and small collectables are represented by a silver cased B. Leefe & Sons pocket watch, offered together with a nickel goliath pocket watch in a silver-mounted case.
Glass and ceramics also feature strongly, including two Victorian clear, frosted and cranberry cut glass tazzas, and a particularly attractive set of four Gallé, Nancy intaglio engraved liqueur glasses, sold together with a small Bohemian Art Deco amber overlaid decanter and glasses. Ceramics include a pleasing collection of Suzie Cooper wares, with jugs, vases and a teapot.
Elsewhere in the sale are silver and silver-plated wares, coins, pictures, toys, books and decorative household pieces, creating a lively and varied catalogue with something to suit many different tastes.
