The Maps, Antiquarian Books & Ephemera Sale brings together a fascinating selection of early maps, manuscripts, archives and historical works, celebrating exploration, scholarship and the preservation of the past.

Highlights include an early 18th century double hemisphere world map by Johann Baptist Homann, John Cary’s New English Atlas of county maps, and 17th century maps by John Speed and Frederik De Wit. The sale also features Thomas Hartley Cromek’s remarkable manuscript anatomical study album, a photographic archive documenting the Pilgrims Route to Santiago de Compostela, and the extensive Mather Family Archive, with material dating from the late 17th century onwards.
