Approx 15.35gm, dimensions = 48mm x 40mm, frame tested 12ct, applied gold set with aquamarines tested 18ct, back pin not gold, losses to decoration on frame, holes and restoration in a few areas, central decoration fine detail, chalcedony to base - light milky area - possibly very light fracture and a couple of very faint hairlines to base
Victorian gold brooch with oval-cut chalcedony and aquamarines, for sale at auction with Duggleby Auctioneers. The central chalcedony is framed by applied gold wirework and floral decoration, with three oval-cut aquamarines set within a foliate gold surround.
