Late 19th-century Continental carved and stained oak hall settle bench, richly decorated with carved figures, tavern scenes and foliate ornament. The moulded cornice is surmounted by two portrait-bust finials above a scrolling acanthus frieze; the three-panel back features relief-carved tavern interiors and a central village dancing scene. Swept arms terminate in lion heads and paws, while the hinged box seat has a lunette-carved edge. Below, two panels are decorated with winged lion masks and foliate scrolls, flanked by grotesque mask and fruit-carved uprights, on a foliate-carved plinth and block feet.
