A rare opportunity to acquire historic horse-drawn carriages and traditional appointments from a long-established private collection, recognised as one of the largest of its type in the UK.Part I of this specialist sale introduces a carefully selected group of original carriages, many with prior use in television and film productions, encompassing traditional working vehicles, restored examples and period display pieces. Complementing these is a varied offering of carriage appointments, including harness, carriage lamps, driving whips and associated equipment, reflecting both the practical requirements of private driving and the timeless appeal of these objects within country house and collecting contexts.This sale marks the first in a series of auctions presenting this exceptional collection, with further selections to follow.
