Our Antiques & Decorative Objects sale brings together an elegant and diverse array of collectables, spanning fine ceramics, decorative glass, bronzes and lighting. With pieces ranging from the refined to the unusual, this selection offers something for both seasoned collectors and those seeking distinctive interior accents.
Glass highlights include a beautiful Lalique ‘Coquilles’ opalescent bowl, formed as three interlocking shells and signed R. Lalique beneath, alongside a limited edition Gillies Jones of Rosedale vase, delicately decorated with red leaves against a frosted ground. Of particular historic interest is an unusual Sunderland Bridge and Masonic glass tumbler (circa 1800–1830), engraved with a masted frigate and an array of Masonic symbols.
Among the decorative arts is a finely detailed Franz Xavier Bergman cold-painted bronze lizard, a superb example of the renowned Austrian foundry’s naturalistic work.
Ceramics are well represented, led by an impressive Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern octagonal bowl and a complementary Royal Crown Derby tea set including teapot, milk jug, sucrier and tea strainer. Eastern ceramics also feature, such as a Chinese charger decorated with dragons pursuing a flaming pearl.
Adding a touch of statement lighting is a Tiffany-style table lamp with foliate decoration and a stepped pyramid shade.
