The Period Home brings together an extensive and thoughtfully curated selection of furniture, works of art and decorative pieces, offering everything needed to furnish and enrich a traditional interior.

Among the standout highlights is an exceptional mid 18th century Meissen figure group, The Tyrolean Dancers, a finely modelled and vividly decorated example of early European porcelain. This is joined by further 18th century ceramics, including a rare Chantilly porcelain dish with later ormolu mounts and a charming Worcester mug in the ‘Two Quail’ pattern.

Furniture is particularly well represented, from the impressive scale and craftsmanship of a Renaissance Revival cabinet on stand to a striking pair of Louis XVI style satinwood and penwork tables. A grand Rococo Revival giltwood pier mirror with matching console table provides real visual impact, while a late 19th century kingwood bureau plat and a substantial extending dining table by Spillman & Co highlight the enduring appeal of fine 19th century workmanship.

The sale also features an excellent selection of clocks and timepieces, including a late 18th century longcase clock by Joseph Wood of Scarborough and an elaborate musical longcase clock with multiple chime options. Decorative objects of note range from a finely worked Northern European silver peg tankard to a rare Victorian provincial silver snuff box with historical inscription.

Rugs and carpets form a key part of the sale, with a fine Isfahan silk rug alongside a wide range of Kashan, Heriz and Tabriz examples bringing colour and craftsmanship to the offering. Sculptural pieces, including a terracotta figure of a classical female and a pair of bronze stags after Jules Moigniez, add further depth and interest.

From statement pieces to refined decorative details, this sale offers a rich and varied selection suited to collectors, interior designers and anyone looking to introduce character and period style into the home. Browse and bid now.
