Presenting a single artist collection of works from the home and studio of Gillian Ross Kelsey, an intimate look at a painter whose career spanned many decades, media and stylistic developments.
Born in Grimsby and trained at Camberwell School of Art, Ross Kelsey later gained her MA at Nottingham Trent University and went on to lecture at Grimsby School of Art. Her work moved from figurative subjects, still lifes and landscapes towards increasingly abstract compositions, while retaining a strong interest in colour, shape, texture and light.
Highlights include Sacred Symbols, The Dizzy Tree, Run for Your Life, Blue Ribbon, Celtic Impressions, Under the Light of the Moon, Shadows and The Sun Has Got His Hat On.
