It’s a busy week at Duggleby’s, with six auctions closing before the weekend, from watches to decorative objects. Whether you’re looking for investment pieces, interior accents or something a little more personal, there’s plenty to explore. Here are some of the highlights.

Watches

Ends Thursday 23 April from 10am.

This week’s Watches sale brings together classic early 20th century pieces alongside more contemporary wristwatches. A standout is Lot 2304, an early 20th century 18ct gold full hunter pocket watch by Edward Sweeney, estimated at £1,500–2,500. With its enamel dial, Roman numerals and Birmingham-made case, it reflects the craftsmanship and reliability associated with traditional English watchmaking. More modern in style is Lot 2318, the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze, estimated at £1,200–1,800. With its robust bronze case and slate grey dial, it offers a contemporary take on vintage diving watches, complete with box and guarantee.

At the higher end, Lot 2326, a Lesser Schiphol 14ct gold gentleman’s wristwatch, is estimated at £3,000–4,000. Its integral gold bracelet and clean dial design give it strong visual presence, combining function with precious material appeal.

Jewellery

Ends Thursday 23 April from 11am.

Fine gemstones and intricate settings feature strongly in this week’s Jewellery sale. Lot 2022, an early 20th century platinum diamond brooch, is estimated at £1,000–2,000. Its mix of coloured diamonds and openwork milgrain setting reflects the craftsmanship and decorative style of the period. Lot 2012, an 18ct gold diamond ring, is estimated at £4,500–5,500. The 4.05 carat light brown diamond is presented in a simple four claw setting, allowing the stone to take centre stage.

At the top end, Lot 2020, an 18ct white gold sapphire and diamond necklace, is estimated at £8,000–10,000. With approximately 27 carats of sapphires and 7.5 carats of diamonds, the design combines cabochon stones, diamond-set leaves and articulated elements to striking effect.
