Notes: Born in Manchester Murray has had a very varied life and career, in addition to being an accomplished artist having attended St Martin's School of Art, he was involved in the making of many well known TV commercials probably best known for his series of posters for London Underground during the 1980s, finally becoming CEO and Chairman of the McCann Erickson global advertising agency. During these years Roger was a Governor of the Ocean Youth Club, which was to become the largest sail training organisation in the world. In the 1960s he owned a studio in Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby where he completed many oils, watercolours and ink drawings
