Pamela Chard (British 1926-2003): West Porch St Albans Cathedral, oil on board unsigned 65cm x 28cm Provenance: studio collection of the late William Chard, the artist's husband. Notes: Chard was a British artist and teacher married to fellow artist William Chard (1923-2020). The couple met at the Redfern Gallery in Cork Street, London, and went on to study under several important artists such as Henry Moore, Ceri Richards, and Vivian Pitchforth. They were both active members of 'The Arts Council of Great Britain', and exhibited with the London Group and Drian Gallery.
