Condition Report:

There are signs of wear commensurate with age and use, such as rubbing to the gilding, scratching, scuffing and spots of discolouration. There are some slight splits to the glaze, most likely production faults. There is a crack to a leg at the back. There is a very small patch of slight discolouration to the side of the taper stick and also one of the inkwells, which when inspected under UV, show signs of restoration to the rims. To the other inkwell, there is extensive restoration visible both with and without UV, with overpainting throughout, as well as splits running from the rim. A finial to one cover has overpainting.
