Description: Chinese blue and white bowl, probably 18th century, of bulbous form with later mounted twin handles, decorated with figural scenes of Guanyin, with concentric circle mark beneath and label inscribed Kangxi, rim D20cm
There are signs of wear commensurate with age and use, including light scratching, marking and scuffing. There is pitting throughout. There is a large crack to the base, visible in the images. There is rubbing to the ceramic where the handles sit against the bowl, and to where the handles are fixed on. The handles themselves are a later addition and are rather loose where they are mounted and therefore moveable. There is also what looks to be glue residue on some of the handles. There is a possible production fault to the main body to the side in between the panels underneath the painted floral decoration with a loss of glaze and paint approximately 1cm wide, which is rough to the touch.
