Description: Late 18th/early 19th century Chinese export blue and white forty seven piece part dinner service, comprising twenty eight octagonal plates, seven octagonal bowls, four canted rectangular platters (including a pair of the same size), pair of small canted rectangular plates, canted serving dish, cover with vegetable knop finial, and two lobed sauce boats and shaped stands, each decorated with figures conversing before a temple, within a landscape set with typical motifs including waterside huts, boats, fence and bridge, within foliate and cell borders, plates D23cm, bowls D23.5cm, serving dish W36cm, largest serving platter W44.5cm
Wear commensurate with age and use, including surface scratches and some areas of discolouration.
A number of plates and dishes with small losses to rim, and some with hairline cracks.
One sauce boat with loss to rim, and cracks and repairs through body and handle, the other with repair to handle, and one sauce boat stand with loss to rim.
Cover with paint flecks to top.
Pieces with typical production flaws such as pitting.
