Provenance: The vendor is a relative of Benjamin Fletcher who was headmaster of Leicester School of Art in the early 1900s. He was associated with Gimson and involved in setting up the Dryad company. 

The cabinet was acquired by Fletcher during his time in Daneway, Sapperton where Gimson had workshops. The cabinet stayed in the family and has been passed down to the current vendor.
