  •  20th century Marine Sextant, black crackle frame with brass scale arc inscribed Cooke Hull, No.2969, 6.5in radius reading to 10in, with index and horizon mirrors, shades and detachable eyepiece, in fitted travel case with certificate dated 28/8/68, with The Mariners' Highway Code, VHF Telephony, P806 compass in case, potractor, ruler, Jakarflex flexible rule and two photos. Provenance: The vendors husband was born in 1947, after Marine College in South Shields he trained in Plymouth and served with Shell Tankers from 1964-1976. His last ship was Hemitrochus and he left service as 2nd Officer (Deck)
