George Hodgkinson (British 1914-1997): 'Cheetham Park Stalybridge', oil on board signed 37cm x 48cm
Notes: Hodgkinson was a representational artist and draughtsman, member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and Stockport Artists Guild. A prolific artist continuing to paint until his death, despite dementia, he left 800 works. There was a retrospective exhibition at the Astley Cheetham Art Gallery in 1998
