George Hodgson (British 1847-1921): The Jester and The Veteran, two watercolours signed, dated 1892 and 'Xmas 1882', respectively, 15cm x 11cm and 13cm x 8.5cm (2) Notes: born in Nottingham, Hodgson lived in Grange-over-Sands and was a member of the Nottingham Society of Artists, acting as Vice-President 1908-1917. He exhibited many works at the Nottingham Castle Museum, the Royal Academy, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, and Royal Society of British Artists.
