John Stonehouse of Leeds - mahogany 8-day longcase clock with a painted oval dial c1830, hood with a swans necked pediment and profuse contrasting inlay to both the hood and case, oval hood door with flanking pilasters and Corinthian capitals, conforming case with canted corners and short triple spire door, broad plinth with matching inlay and canted corners on shallow base, dial depicting masonic regalia, symbols, and pictorial depictions of the humanities, faith, hope, charity and righteousness, black chapter with white roman Arabic’s, date recorder and matching “crown” hands, dial pinned to a rack striking movement with a recoil anchor escapement, striking the hours on a coiled underslung gong. With weights and gridiron pendulum. This clock case is of large, impressive dimensions and was almost certainly commissioned for a large masonic lodge in Leeds, a rare and unique example.

Sarah Williams (British 1961-): Ram's Head, Oil on Canvas. Sarah graduated from Norwich School of Art and Design in 1984 with a first-class BA Hons in Fine Art and, having won the Stowell's Trophy, was awarded an unconditional place to study MA Painting at the Royal Academy. She comes from a family of creative talent - her father, Reg Williams, was a member of the York Four. She has exhibited in galleries around England and has had her own businesses in Interior Design, Architectural Design, Furniture Design and Jewellery. Sarah has recently returned to painting full-time and, having used a multitude of mediums in her creative work, now confesses she is an oil-paint addict. It is "the smell, the texture, the depth and colour of pigments: total nectar". Generously donated by Sarah Williams.

William Burns (British 1923-2010): 'Edge of the Bluebell Wood', oil on board signed, titled verso 18cm x 23cm (unframed) Provenance: Direct from the family of the artist. Notes: Born in Sheffield in 1923, William Burns RIBA FSAI FRSA studied at the Sheffield College of Art before the outbreak of the Second World War, during which he helped illustrate the official War Diaries for the North Africa Campaign, and was elected a member of the Armed Forces Art Society. On his return, he studied architecture at Sheffield University and later ran his own successful practice, being a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. However, painting had always been his self-confessed 'first love', and in the 1970s he gave up architecture to become a full-time artist, having his first one-man exhibition in 1979.
