Jeremiah Henderson of Scarborough - 8-day longcase clock in an Elm case c1765, with a flat top and broad cornice, square hood door flanked by two plain turned pilasters with gesso capitals, long trunk with a conforming door and break arch top, square brass dial with a matted centre, cast spandrels and ringed winding holes, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, five minute Arabic's, minute track and finely pierced matching steel hands, dial pinned to a rack striking movement with an anchor escapement. With weights and pendulum. Jeremiah Henderson was the son of Robert Henderson, the first recorded clockmaker in Scarborough.

John Bancroft of Scarborough - a fine late George III 8-day mahogany longcase clock, with an elaborate pagoda pediment, brass ball and eagle finials and oval conch shell inlay, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilasters with brass Corinthian capitals, trunk with inlaid canted corners and a break arch trunk door with "Zulu shield" inlay, conforming plinth with with shaped feet to the front, painted dial with moon work, upright Arabic numerals for the hours and quarter minutes, subsidiary seconds and date dials and stamped brass hands, floral spandrels on a green background with gilt highlights, dial pinned via a cast iron falseplate to a rack striking movement with an anchor escapement, striking the hours on a cast bell. With weights and pendulum. John Bancroft is though to have worked in London prior to working in Scarborough c1770-1807.

Frederick (Fred) Dade (British 1874-1908): 'Evening Reed Farm', oil on canvas signed, titled with artist's address 'Paradise Scarborough' verso 19cm x 29cm Provenance: from the estate of Christine Dexter and by descent from Frank Henry Mason's sister Eleanor Marie (Nellie). Fred was a keen yachtsman and together with his brother Ernest and Frank Mason were founder members of Scarborough Yacht Club in 1895.

Edith Brearey Dawson (née Robinson) (British 1862-1928): Michaelmas Daisies, watercolour signed 24cm x 28cm Notes: Edith was the daughter of a Quaker Schoolmaster living in Scarborough as early as 1881, she studied under Albert Strange at the Scarborough School of Art, exhibiting at the Royal Academy and the RBA between 1889 and 1893. She married fellow artist Nelson Ethelred Dawson in 1893 then moving to London she mostly abandoned painting in favour of metal and enamel work.

Ray Lonsdale (Northern British 1965-): 'The Ballad of Youths Farewell', steel statuette signed titled and dated 2010 to the base, H37cm including base Notes: originally a steel fabricator from Durham, sculpture had always been Ray’s passion, and after winning The People’s Award within the Hanging Jury Competition in Newcastle 2003, he now works as an artist full-time. He is best known for his large-scale public sculptures, such as 'Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers' on Scarborough North Bay, 'The Tunney' on Scarborough Pier, 'The Smugglers Apprentice' on Merchants Row, and 'A High Tide in Short Wellies' on the Coble Landing Filey.

Eli Marsden Wilson ARE ARCE (British 1877-1965): 'Low Tide Margate Harbour', pair miniature etchings signed in pencil 2.4cm x 3.8cm (2) Provenance: by descent through the artist's family; removed from the artist's cabinet, to be sold in the Country House Sale, Saturday 16th March 2024 Lot 1267. The etchings were commissioned for Queen Mary's Dolls' House. Sold together with a letter from Princess Marie Louise to the artist dated September 11 1922 requesting the production of a drawing to be included in a portfolio in the King's Library. Featured on the Antiques Roadshow, Series 35, Scarborough Grand Spa Hall, 16th November 2012.
