Large early to mid 19th century walnut bracket clock by Penlington of Liverpool, the highly decorative fruit and berry carved pediment over shaped and moulded glazed door, gilt metal and blue enamel Roman dial engraved with chased scrolling foliage and flower head decoration, moulded and plain frieze base on ornately cast gilt metal bracket feet, twin fusee ting-tang movement striking the quarters on two bells, strike silent lever, movement back plate inscribed 'Penlington of Liverpool', the back enclosed by pointed arch door with fret work panel, circa. 1830
