Henry Fisher of Preston (Lancs) - late 18th century 30-hour oak and mahogany longcase clock c1790, with a flat topped pediment and moulded cornice, square hood door flanked by two plain pillars with brass capitals, trunk with recessed quarter columns, three-quarter length trunk door with an ogee twin spire top and crossbanding, rectangular plinth with canted corners and a narrow applied moulding to the base, circular 13” painted dial with Roman numerals, minute markers and five minute Arabic's, floral decoration to the centre and a semi-circular calendar aperture with date disc behind, original steel serpentine hands, dial inscribed “H Fisher, Preston”, dial pinned directly to a weight driven countwheel striking movement, striking the hours on a cast bell. With pendulum and weight. Henry Fisher is recorded as working in Preston from 1742-95.

Grace Holborn of South Cave (Nr Hull Yorks.) - Oak and mahogany 8-day longcase clock, c1820, with a pagoda topped pediment with inlay and three ball and spire finials, break arch painted dial flanked by two reeded pilasters with brass capitals, trunk with canted corners and a full length break arch door, square plinth on bracket feet, dial with upright Arabic numerals and geometric painted spandrels, depiction of an eagle and a snake to the arch, with a seconds dial and calendar aperture, brass hands and seconds pointer, rack striking recoil anchor weight driven movement, striking the hours on a bell. With weights and pendulum. Grace Holborn was most probably the widow of Charles William Holborn who was a clockmaker in South Cave 1759-1811.
