Starting with four pairs of eye-catching Meissen, Dresden and Royal Worcester vases (lots 1 - 4), the Decorative Antiques & Collectors Sale on Friday 29th April features a really strong ceramics section, including several Moorcroft pieces (lots 5 - 8), a Minton Queen Elizabeth II 1953 Coronation limited edition orb designed by John Wadsworth, which is one of only 50 made (lot 9), and a Burslem Pottery Boris the Gangster stoneware novelty jar (lot 11). What follows is an interesting mix of antique and contemporary glass, lighting, collectables, decorative homewares - and so much more, including a collection of 33 dust-pressed transfer and block printed tiles (lot 59), several pieces of sculpture including ‘Spirit of the National’ (lot 67), a statement French Ercuis silver plated Art Deco tea and coffee service (lot 100), and a number of beautifully illustrated books (lots 204 & 206).
